Tuesday, March 12, 2:00 P.M. - Zentangle for Kids Ages 11+: Zentangle will be taught by Carol Caffrey. Do you love to draw and doodle? If so, this class is for you. Zentangle, or Zen doodle as it is sometimes called, is easy to learn. It's a relaxing and fun technique using simple repetitive strokes to create beautiful art. You do not have to be an artist or have artistic talent to create this art. In this class, students will learn how to create repetitive patterns using a black pen, white paper and a pencil.
Wednesday, March 13, 1:00 P.M. - Flow Art for Ages 11+: Flow Art will be taught by Rhonda Kesner. Also known as paint pouring. A form of abstract art that uses acrylic paint with a runny fluid consistency. The acrylic paints react with each other when combined together to make interesting and visually organic motifs. Each student will be making two of these flow art pieces. The art will need 24 hours to dry and the art piece can be picked up the next day. Please dress in older clothes as this process can be messy.
Thursday, March 14, 10:00 A.M. and 1:00 P.M. - Acrylics - for Kids ages 6 - 9: Acrylics is taught by Marvelle Zollars. Each student will have a choice to paint one of three examples. Marvelle will help each child use the acrylic paint to bring home a master piece. Acrylic paints are water resistant but children should come prepared wearing old clothing.
Friday, March 15, 10:00 A.M. and 1:00 P.M. - Pastel Portraits for Ages 10+: Pastel Portraits will be taught by Devi Wilbur. This class will consist of pastels of all forms. Devi will help the kids make their own portraits using the pastels and individual mirrors. This process will be very messy, similar to sidewalk chalk, it is washable. Older clothes are recommended.
