Craig Chaquico returns to Grooves at The Westin to play his Starship and smooth jazz hits. As an original founding member and former lead guitarist for Jefferson Starship, Craig Chaquico garnered 20 Platinum and Gold records. In 1993, he forged a new career as a Contemporary Jazz/New Age guitarist. As a solo artist, he quickly gained popularity, combining his rock and blues roots with that new age style, sending him back to the top of the charts. He has collaborated with Ozzie Ahlers for ten solo albums, the most famous of which is Acoustic Planet (1994), which garnered Chaquico a Grammy Nomination for Best New Age album. His song, "Just One World," from that acclaimed album became a part of NASA's Ark Project, which now permanently remains in orbit above the Earth. Since then, Chaquico has cemented his standing as one of the top-selling Contemporary Jazz/New Age artists, selling over a million copies of his solo material. As a concert-goer you will be treated to some of his Starship hits as well as his amazing solo performances on the guitar. Craig Chaquico truly is a guitar legend.
